ATLANTA, Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ — With just over 100 days remaining in 2006, the Bluff Magazine Poker Player of the Year race is heating up. Ten poker pros are still in the hunt including John Juanda, David Williams, Gavin Smith and Barry Greenstein.

The Player of the Year Rankings are based on the results of major tournaments taking place during the 2006 calendar year. Qualifying tournaments must have a minimum $5,000 buy-in with at least 100 participants. In all cases, players must finish in the money to earn points.

The winner of the Bluff Magazine Player of the Year is considered by many to be the top player in the world. Phil Ivey, the 2005 winner supports the ranking’s accuracy.
