Poker Winnings Not Paid

Perhaps nothing can be more exciting than winning a poker tournament. For 10 poker players, the excitement of winning seats to the 2006 WSOP turned into a nightmare. They won their seats from ChecknRaisePoker.com. Unfortunately, the site was all about hype and promises. The players did not get their seats as promised.

Fortunately for them, poker.com stepped in and saved the day. They also get some very nice public relations coverage for doing so. This story brings up crucial point. You should never assume these grand prizes will actually be paid out. The bigger sites are pretty good since they already have the money in hand to do it.
